Famous Railway Trail Bike & Beach Tour

This tour is ideal for the active visitor who wants to see some of the little known views of Bermuda, get a little exercise, and also take a well deserved beach break. Board your shuttle to the 9 Beaches Hotel & Resort located in the island’s rural West End, and take in the landscape of Bermuda’s scenic countryside. Upon arrival at the resort you will be provided with a 21 speed Trek mountain bike, and you will also be equipped with a durable bike helmet. After receiving instruction on riding and safety, you will begin your guided cycle tour along the original Bermuda Railway Trail. During the 5-8 mile bike ride your guide will stop at various points of interest along the mostly flat trail and provide informative commentary. The trail offers spectacular views, stunning seascapes, lush gardens and exotic flora and fauna for you to enjoy. Time permitting you will have the opportunity to hike up to the historic Fort Scaur, or visit the sprawling 17th century Mott Family estate. After your ride, cool off with a refreshing swim back at the 9 Beaches Hotel & Resort and enjoy the best view in Bermuda at the Dark N Stormy’s Beach Bar and Grill. Have a drink (or two!) Guests may choose to stay at the resort and enjoy the restaurant, bar and watersports centre facilities, however, those guests choosing to enjoy the facilities on site at the resort will need to arrange their own return transport to their hotel or cruise ship at their leisure (at additional cost).

• Note: Participants must be at least 10 years old and 58 inches tall. Cyclists are advised to wear durable closed toe shoes and lightweight clothing over a bathing suit, and should bring a towel. Participants should be aware that there are certain inherent risks involved in any cycling excursion.
